EHF headquarters "Home of Handball"

Raiffeisen Property Holding International (RPHI) and the European Handball Federation (EHF), the umbrella organization for European handball with 50 member associations and headquartered in Vienna, are constructing the new EHF headquarters "Home of Handball" in Neu Marx, the 3rd district of Vienna. "I am delighted that we are now implementing the construction of the 'Home of Handball,' which will bring long-term and sustainable revitalization to the Neu Marx area. The modern concept of thermal building activation will create a particularly pleasant working and indoor climate for the EHF employees," said Karl-Maria Pfeffer, CEO of RPHI, which is acting as the project developer and seller in the project. The Vienna-based architectural firm Burtscher-Durig ZT GmbH was entrusted with the general planning. Vasko+Partner is responsible for the technical planning and site supervision. "We are excited about this exciting construction task and are proud to have moved up to the handball league," said Cornel Pfister, project manager on behalf of Vasko+Partner.

The new building is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2024. Sustainability was already taken into account during the planning phase. A 240-square-meter PV system is planned to be installed on the roof of the EHF headquarters. The building itself will be constructed using thermal building activation, which will have a positive impact on the indoor climate throughout the year. Groundwater and wastewater heat will also be utilized. The EHF headquarters will have a total gross floor area of 5,600 square meters.

In addition to the "Home of Handball," RPHI is planning further projects at the Neu Marx site, totaling 22,200 square meters of gross floor area. These include a student dormitory, serviced apartments, as well as retail and office spaces.
