The project encompassed the renovation of the stagehouse facade, the transformation of the backstage area, and the expansion of the ballet hall through an cantilevered steel structure. The existing facade was dismantled and replaced from the ground floor to the 2nd floor with precast concrete walls featuring full thermal insulation. From the 3rd floor upwards, a curtain wall facade system was installed on a steel structure, along with the associated expansion of the floor areas.
The facades on the 3rd and 4th floors were visually connected through an arched spatial enlargement between the Gürtel and Fuchsthallergasse. In these areas, the new facade consists of combined metal and glass elements, some of which are designed as double-skin soundproof facades. The renewal of the roof surfaces facing the Gürtel and partially in the area of Fuchsthallergasse was also carried out, using sandwich panel elements.
