Motel One Austria

With the Motel One at the site of the new Vienna Central Station, the hotel group is undertaking its largest project to date. The 58-meter-high hotel tower, designed by the architectural firm Holzbauer & Partner, aims to achieve certification from the Austrian Society for Sustainable Real Estate Management, ÖGNI. Vasko+Partner is responsible as the general consultant for the detailed planning. The tower, featuring 18 floors, 533 rooms, and spectacular panoramic windows, is located on the southern square in front of the Vienna Central Station. The Hamburg-based project developer ECE is constructing the project on the trapezoidal plot, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2014.

The building will be constructed as a reinforced concrete structure. In the area from the ground floor to the seventh and tenth floors, there will be "jumps" in the structural design, giving the project its distinctive appearance. The gross floor area will be around 17,500 square meters. From the upper floors of the hotel tower, guests will enjoy a magnificent view over the city and its landmarks such as St. Stephen's Cathedral, the State Opera, and the Giant Ferris Wheel in the Prater.
