RHPI Student Dormitory St. Marx

Raiffeisen Property Holding International (RPHI) is constructing a student dormitory with 418 single and double rooms at the site 1 in Neu Marx. At site 2, 40 serviced apartments, as well as shops and office spaces, are planned. Burtscher Durig ZT GmbH is the general planner, and Vasko+Partner is responsible as the specialist planner for structural planning, technical building equipment, building physics, fire protection, construction coordination, and site supervision.

Construction has been underway at the Neu Marx area in Vienna's third district since January 2023, with a nine-story new building set to be completed by the winter semester of 2024/25. All residential units will be fully furnished and available for rent, offering a comfortable and straightforward option for students to establish themselves in the bustling city of Vienna. Additionally, several fitness, music, and multipurpose rooms, along with a large terrace, will be accessible for use.

"Every year, thousands of young people from around the world choose Vienna for their studies, and there is a high demand for high-quality housing, particularly among students. With this new offering in a prime location, we aim to make living and studying in Vienna more accessible, and we are delighted to have found the right project partners to realize this vision," said Karl-Maria Pfeffer, CEO of RPHI, the project developer.

During the project development, special attention has been given to a sustainable overall concept with sociocultural added value, energy-efficient construction, and economically and ecologically sustainable use. The thermal activation of building elements will create a particularly pleasant working and living environment. The planned PV system on the roof will help reduce ongoing operating costs.

The general contractor for the project is WRS Energie- und Baumanagement GmbH. Milestone Operations GmbH has been entrusted with the operation of the dormitory.

In the immediate neighborhood, RPHI, in collaboration with the European Handball Federation, is building the "European Handball House." Here too, the general planning is being carried out by Burtscher Durig ZT GmbH, and Vasko+Partner is leading as the specialist planner for structural planning, technical building equipment, building physics, fire protection, construction coordination, and site supervision.
